Featured here is Anaheim Mighty Ducks game-used goalie equipment from one of the NHL's greatest and most popular goaltenders Jean-Sebastien Giguere. Coming off an incredible 2002-03 season in which he won the Conn Smythe Trophy (playoffs MVP) JSG used these pair of Koho goalie pads which he has autographed and Heaton blocker gloves during the 2003-04 season. The Mighty Ducks perhaps overwhelmed in heartbreak after coming within one win from their 1st Stanley Cup had a difficult season as they finished with just 76 points and missed the playoffs. But it certainly wasn't Giguere's fault as he posted a decent 2.62 GAA with only 17 wins to show for it. Giguere played 9 seasons in Anaheim and retired following the 2013-14 season. He may very well wind up in the Hall of Fame someday.

Giguere's purple and teal Heaton goalie gloves show a tremendous amount of game use. The '1475 WAVE' right blocker glove is heavily sweat-stained and partially ripped-up internally on the fingers and wrist. Black puck marks cover the outside of the blocker padding. His left-handed '1850' is battered with puck marks in the webbing and is sweat-stained throughout. Amazingly all strings straps and laces are still in-tact and the pair of gloves remain problem-free.

Giguere's purple teal and gray pair of Koho '580 K' goalie pads show significant game use with black puck marks and paint transfers prevalent on the front from all of his sliding saves. Fabric has torn on the interior of both pads in the exact same place - inside each leg. JSG has signed the left pad on the front in 9/10 black marker. Again all straps and laces remain completely intact and the pads come essentially as-issued and problem-free. Warning: both the gloves and the pads have the sweat and body odor aromas that can only come from extensive game-use.
