Presented here is a striking 2001 Ivan Rodriguez Texas Rangers game-worn road jersey an important artifact from arguably the top catcher of his era and a Cooperstown enshrinee in 2017 unless the planet skids off its axis. Parlaying a batting record that could have sent him to immortality as an outfielder with a legendary defensive prowess that places him among the all-time greats as a backstop Rodriguez finished a 21-year career with an incredible 2844 hits 311 homers and a .296 lifetime average. Toss in 13 Gold Gloves 14 All-Star nods and a 1999 American League MVP Award and you can see how cogitating by the HOF voters in 2017 wont be a major challenge. The grey road jersey has the Texas lettering across the front in red white black and blue tackle twill on the front and Rodriguezs No. 7 on the back. Rodriguez is across the back in red white and blue tackle twill affixed to a grey nameplate; above is the iconic MLB logo. The American League Centennial patch is affixed to the right sleeve and the Texas flag patch on the left and the shirt is accented in blue piping on the sleeves. Rawlings tagging appears on the inside of the tail with 48 and Set 2 2001 flag tags attached. Pudge has added his autograph in black Sharpie next to his No. 7 on the back adding his number inscription. Shirt shows solid game use with some light staining and dirt and a bit of pilling on the back along with minimal fraying of any of the red white or blue stitching front or back. Comes problem-free and without alteration.
