From 1975 until his tragic death at Daytona in 2001, Dale Earnhardt Sr. and his number 3 car was the face of NASCAR. Known around the circuit as “The Intimidator,” Earnhardt had become a fan favorite through his aggressive driving and long trail of first-place trophies. That all ended at the 2001 Daytona 500 when Earnhardt’s number 3 car spun out and hit the wall head-on. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. This perfectly framed action shot taken earlier in the season captures Dale Earnhardt Sr. in his famous number 3 car, one of the last Type 1 photos of “The Intimidator.” The front of the photo has been printed to its edge, and the reverse has the Kodak watermark. The photograph measures 10” x 8” and has been encapsulated and graded a Type 1 by PSA.
Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method.
