Chris Donnels is a former pinch-hitting first and third baseman who played eight years in the major leagues and three seasons in Japan playing for the Orix Blue Wave. This lot includes three game-worn items of Donnels that he wore between 1997 and 2001. The first is a 2001 signed and game-worn L.A. Dodgers home jersey that he donned during the season when he collected 15 hits including three round-trippers and drove in eight runs. On the front left tail is a Rawlings manufacturers tag with washing instructions. Attached is a size 48 flag tag and a SET 1 2001 tag. Across the chest reads Dodgers in blue tackle twill. Player number 50 appears below in red tackle twill. Player number 50 appears on the back. Above reads the player name DONNELS. These are done in the same blue on white tackle twill. Above the player name is an official MLB logo embroidered. On the left sleeve is an LA logo in blue on white on grey triple tackle twill. Below that rests an embroidered Rawlings logo. Donnels signed the jersey on the back in black marker just below his nameplate. The remaining two piece are from Donnels three-year tenure with the Orix Blue: his game-worn 1998 Mizuno Pro jersey number 3 and his game-used batting helmet. The jersey shows minimal wear and includes Donnels last name on the back in blue tackle twill above his uniform No. 3 which is also in blue tackle twill outlined in gold. The team name Blue Wave appears in script across the front of the jersey in gold tackle twill outlined in blue while Japanese embroidered patches appears on both sleeves. The blue Mizuno batting helmet size M is sporting the BW logo in blue-and-yellow across the front with three red stripes positioned to its right. Donnels first name Chris appears in yellow script above the left ear.
