This is an impressive grouping of artifacts from one of the great dynasties in WNBA history the 2001-03 Los Angeles Sparks ball club that managed back-to-back league titles before narrowly missing a third straight in the Finals in 2003. These Official Spalding basketballs from those three historic seasons mark the ascension of a ball club that was led by Lisa Leslie – league and WNBA Finals MVP in 2001 – and other great stars like Tamecka Dixon Delisha Milton-Jones Mwadi Mabika Nikki Teasley Latasha Byears and Nicky McCrimmon Sophia Witherspoon and Jennifer Gillom many of whom were on hand for all three campaigns. The three basketballs boast blazing black Sharpie autographs on both the white and orange panels often with players including their uniform number inscription; likewise the two seeming Near-Mint pennants reveal strong autographs throughout again with uniform number inscriptions typically added. The grouping is simply a great tribute to a legendary ball club in the continuing evolution of women’s basketball.
