Allan Houston played 9 of his 12 NBA seasons with the New York Knicks and here we have a pair of his 2001-02 game-worn dual-signed and inscribed Nike signature model shoes. After three years in Detroit the sharp-shooting 66 guard took his talents to the Big Apple and helped lead the team deep into the playoffs several seasons. The 2-time All-Star put up 20.2 points per game during the 2001-02 season.
These funky size 13.5 Nike H20 sneakers exhibit an innovative design that came years ahead of their time. A white rubber-like exterior shell with two orange bubble features on each side encloses an interior blue stretchy material that would appear to contort to Houstons foot shape. Two navy blue rubber straps one that button snaps cross over the tongues and original blue laces. The top of the blue tongues and blue heel loops are stamped with H20 in orange. Houston wore #20 so this was his signature model logo. He has signed each shoe on the inner heel in what is now a very faint blue marker. Barely legible his inscription reads Trust Jesus! The shoes show moderate game use predominantly on the outsoles and come as-issued and problem-free. They were gifted to a Madison Square Garden security guard who made friends with many Knicks players and opponents.
Includes a faxed Letter of Provenance from a MSG security guard.
