Ruthie Bolton also known by her former married name of Ruthie Bolton-Holifield was a standout female basketball player at Auburn who went on to win a pair of gold medals with the Team USA's women's squad in the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympic Games. She also starred for the Sacramento Monarchs of the WNBA during her professional career that lasted from 1997 to 2004. This is her 1998 Monarchs game-worn and autographed jersey a season in which she played in just five games and tallied 55 points. The 100% nylon size 14 Champion jersey shows the proper tags on the bottom front left of the jersey that includes one tag that reads: Designed & Tailored by Champion Exclusively for the Sacramento Monarchs. The year (1998) the Monarchs logo and the WNBA logo are all included on the tag. The No. 6 jersey includes her married name BOLTIN-HOLIFIELD across the back and the WNBA logo patch is sewn onto the front right side of the jersey. She has signed the left side of the No. 6 on the back of the jersey in black fine-point marker. Her signature includes "#6."
Includes a letter of provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
