In one of the most anticipated debuts in sports history, Tiger Woods turned professional in 1996, overwhelmingly winning the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Award. But it was the next season, 1997, that he really came into his own. That year Tiger dominated the golf scene, becoming the youngest winner to win The Masters, crowned the PGA Tour money list winner, and named the Tour’s Player of the Year. No wonder Tiger is smiling broadly in this casual portrait from that magical season of 1997. The Type 1 image measures 4” x 6” and has been printed to its edges. The reverse of the photo has digital date stamps and codes as well as the Fujicolor paper markings. Encapsulated Type 1 by PSA/DNA.
