This standout full uniform was worn by seven-time All-Star and Kings team captain Rob Blake who was originally drafted by the Kings in 1988 appearing in the 1993 Stanley Cup Finals winning the James Norris Memorial Trophy and serving as team captain for five seasons in his initial 11 season-stint with the club. Retiring in 2010 he ended his career with 777 total points. This home white knit gamer was worn by Rob Blake during the 1997-98 NHL season. Sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the Captains A. The jersey bears stacked Starter labels on the collar along with a strip tag with "58-R" in black embroidery. The Los Angeles Kings logo patch is featured on the front silver black and grey embroidery; the knit has black and gray highlighted striping on the sleeves and near the waist with the embroidered Starter logo patch and the NHL logo patch at the bottom of the shirt back right. Blake's No. 4 is on the back in black white and gray stacked tackle twill with Blake's name above in black tackle twill sewn directly to the shirt. Blake's No. 4 is featured on both sleeves as well in this instance with a silver black and white tackle twill scheme. The shirt shows game use and is in essentially problem-free condition and includes a Letter of Authenticity from the Kings attesting to its game use. The pants are a spectacular match with the jersey showing game use and with all elements intact including all the hip leg and back padding and the laces and CCM straps on the waist.. The black pants have the CCM logo on the outside of each leg above the NHL logo patch with the white trim dual piping on each leg. Pants are similar problem free with only some cracking and team repairs around the inside of some of the pockets holding the pads. The black knit socks with white and silver striping are in standout condition as well.
Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Los Angeles Kings and a Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum Collection.
