During the decade of the 1990s one NBA power forward stood tallest: Utah Jazz superstar Karl The Mailman Malone. Measuring 6 9 tall and weighing in at 250 pounds Malone won two league MVP awards (1997 & '99) took the Jazz to two NBA Finals (1997 & 98) and averaged 24.7 points and 10.7 rebounds over his 19 seasons leading to a first ballot Hall of Fame induction in 2010. Simply put The Mailman always delivered even on Sunday. This lot features an exquisite pair of Malone's game-worn APEX signature model shoes complete with built-in "32 MVP" (honoring 1997 award) logo on the heel and embroidered "MAILMAN 32" on the outer ankle from the 1997-98 season in which the Jazz were defeated by the Bulls once again in the Finals. It was Jordan's jumper over Byron Russell in Game 6 that did Malone Stockton and company in this time. The white leather canvas high-tops in Jazz team colors show substantial game use and have each been signed and personalized by Malone "To Brandon You're the Man" in black marker. According to the consignor Brandon was the name of a Make-A-Wish Foundation recipient of these shoes years ago. Original shoelaces remain intact. Evident wear on outsoles and stretching in canvas. They are otherwise come as-issued and problem-free.
