Being the assistant to George Steinbrenner must have been one of the more challenging jobs in professional sports – but the perks were surely worth it. That is how Jacquelyn Hensel came to possess this stunning 14-karat gold pendant. After the Yankees’ victory in the 1996 World Series, Hensel was presented with this World Championship pendant. The design echoes the top of the diamond-studded rings awarded to the players and management, augmented with its own gold chain. This gorgeous award gifted to the assistant of the man who brought winning ball back to the Bronx shows light wear from use. The back carries a 14K gold hallmark. The pendant comes with a Letter of Provenance from Jacquelyn Hensel.
