This lot features a remarkably preserved 1995 Atlanta Braves home jersey game worn by Maddux during his eye-popping fourth consecutive N.L. Cy Young Award winning season. The front of the white jersey features the classic Braves tomahawk logo in brilliant red navy blue and yellow tackle twill. Navy blue-and-red piping runs around the neck down the front and on the sleeves. On the back of the jersey is his last name - "MADDUX" - in navy blue tackle twill on a separate sewn-on white nameplate and his uniform number "31" follows below in Braves red and navy blue outline sewn on the back. The special Braves "30th Season in Atlanta" patch is sewn onto the left sleeve. Proper “Wilson” manufacturer’s tagging can be found on the front left tail with flag tags reading size "44" and “2 INCH X-LENGTH.” A separate white cloth identifier immediately below the manufacturer’s tag reading “95” in Navy blue saddle stitching indicates the season in question. The jersey exhibits moderate wear with some slight fraying around the numbers and letters.
