From the NFL's all-time leading rusher comes this rare piece of history: Emmitt Smith's game-worn helmet from his incredible 1995 season in which he led the league in carries (377) yards (1773) and TDs (25) all career high marks in his storied Hall of Fame career. Along with Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin Emmitt led the Cowboys to a 12-4 regular season in 1995 en route to their 3rd Super Bowl in 4 years. He was 1st Team All-Pro for the 4th straight season and made the Pro Bowl for the 6th year in a row (8 total when all was said and done).
The Riddell size 'L' game-worn helmet from that special 1995 season shows solid wear all around from the many scratches and paint transfer marks on the silver shell to the several gashes and punctures on the original gray-coated facemask which is completely intact. The two Texas star logo decals on each side and the blue and white stripe down the center of the shell appear relatively unscathed. "Riddell" is lettered in red across the custom front bumper but the helmet brand name stamp has all but faded away on the back bumper. The NFL shield and warning label appears on the rear of the helmet on either side of a "E.SMITH" dymo label. Take note of the customized tape jobs around a small bar section of the facemask near each earhole. The VSR-4 padding inside and original Riddell chinstrap is intact and as-issued. Overall this game-used helmet is largely problem-free in appropriate game-used condition.
