Gary Roberts was a left wing in the NHL who stood 6 2 tall. Healthy for most of the 199394 season Roberts led the Calgary Flames with 41 goals. He missed the final two weeks due to damage to nerves in his neck an injury he had experienced previously in his career. The injury worsened in the lockout-shortened 1994-95 season as he appeared in only eight games. Degeneration of the nerves in his neck left Roberts unable to lift a 2 pounds (0.91 kg) dumbbell above his shoulder with his left arm. The injury was considered career threatening and required two surgeries in March and October 1995 to repair. Offered here is Roberts 1994-95 Calgary Flames game-worn home jersey.

The 100% polyester V-neck white pullover jersey includes the Maska manufacturers tag on the inside rear collar alongside a strip tag reading 52 for the size. A special Authentic Collection Center Ice tag also resides on the inside rear collar. The CCM and NHL logo insignias are sewn into the right rear tail. The front of the jersey is sporting a sewn-on Calgary Flames C logo patch in the middle that stretches 11 wide by 10 tall. Black yellow and red stripes wrap around the bottom of the jersey as well as on both sleeves. His jersey number 10 can be found on the back in red tackle twill outlined in yellow and black while his last name ROBERTS stretches across the shoulders in red tackle twill outlined in black on a white nameplate. His jersey number 10 appears on either sleeve in white tackle twill outlined in black. The jersey shows some game wear with light fraying around the letters and numbers.

Includes letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
