No player in the history of the game had as much natural talent for both baseball and football as Bo Jackson. Right from his 1986 debut Bo Jackson exceeded all expectations placed on him and by 1989 was a bonafide two-game superstar. Then the inevitable happened: injury. During a football game he dislocated his hip and several surgeries followed. Although he never was able to regain his pre-injury form even injured Bo Jackson was pretty impressive: this bat was used by Bo during his 1993 season with the White Sox in which he hit 16 homers in 85 games. Bo’s Louisville Slugger O64 model bat shows excellent use and has a handle crack. The barrel exhibits checking from repeated contact and several ball marks with stitch impressions and blue ink transfers. Indications of tape having been removed from the barrel suggests additional use by Jackson during batting practice. The handle has a spiral pattern of adhesive tape to enhance the grip and Bo’s number “8” is written on the knob in silver pen.
