Few images capture the sheer force of the 1992 "Dream Team" like this commanding original Type 1 photograph of Patrick Ewing throwing down a two-handed slam. Shot from a low baseline angle, the Knicks' Hall of Fame center is fully extended at the rim, both wristbands hooked over the iron as the net snaps around the ball. Ewing's white USA uniform, with "EWING" across the back, and his red, white and blue sneakers pop in vivid color against a wall of fans craning for a look, while a row of courtside photographers fires away below. A USA Basketball logo on the backboard padding anchors the scene.

Ewing was the anchor in the middle for the greatest collection of talent ever assembled, a team that rolled to Olympic gold in Barcelona by an average margin of nearly 44 points. A two-time Olympic gold medalist (1984, 1992), 11-time NBA All-Star and member of the NBA's 50th and 75th Anniversary Teams, Ewing brought a blue-collar toughness that perfectly complemented the roster's superstar wattage.

The vertical 8x10" color print is developed on Kodak Professional paper and presents with bold color, crisp focus and outstanding eye appeal. The reverse is unstamped. Authenticated by PSA/DNA as a Type 1 photograph (developed from the original negative at the time the image was taken) and encapsulated (cert. #85919024). A powerful display piece for any Dream Team, Knicks or Olympic collection.
