Fans had to go all the way back to Mickey Mantle to remember a player with the same natural talents shown by Ken Griffey, Jr. Whether it be hitting, fielding or running the base paths, no one in the 1990s did it better than Junior. These Nike cleats were worn by Griffey during the 1992 season, his fourth season in the majors. That summer Griffey hit .308 with 27 homers and 39 doubles. Junior’s ’92 Nike Air High-Top Cleats show outstanding game use. The leather is nicely broken in with a nice showing of scuffs and turf stains throughout – just the kind of game use you’d want to see on an early pair of Ken Griffey, Jr. cleats. His number “24” is hand written in marker on the back of each cleat and the Nike labels are still affixed inside each tongue. The real prize is Griffey’s bold signature in white pen on the outside heel of both cleats. The cleats come with a LOA from JT Sports.
