Current Boston Celtics President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge was at one-time an All-Star guard for the Celts. After competing in Boston for nine seasons Ainge played in Sacramento as well as Portland before ending his career as a member of the Phoenix Suns. This lot features Ainge's Suns' shooting shirt that he donned during pregame warm-ups during his first season (1992-93) in Phoenix. The Champion (size 44) nylon zippered shooting shirt includes proper tagging for the 1991-92 NBA season (Body Length and Sleeve Length +3) so it appears that Ainge's last name was simply added to the back of this this shooting shirt with the previous year's tagging. If the team's style did not change it was common to add a new player's name to an old warm-up shooting shirt.
