One of baseball’s most naturally talented players, 1991 saw the 21-year-old Ken Griffey, Jr. winning the first of his seven Silver Slugger Awards. Playing side by side with his father in the Seattle outfield, Junior hit a career-high .327 with 22 homers and drive in an even 100 runs. Junior’s career-year Louisville Slugger 'C271 Junior’ Pro Model bat is un-cracked and shows outstanding use. The barrel features many ball marks with white leather ball scuffs, blue ink transfers and stitch impressions. There are cleat impressions on the right and back barrel and the handle has been taped in his distinctive crisscross pattern to enhance the grip. The barrel carries “JUNIOR” stamped in block letters instead of the usual facsimile signature. A tremendous gamer with all the bells and whistles one would want on an early-career Ken Griffey, Jr. bat. Comes with LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA with a perfect GU 10 grade.
