1991-92 Buffalo Sabres jersey game worn and dual signed by center Pat LaFontaine. LaFontaine has signed the large Sabres logo on front in 9/10 black felt tip pen "Pat LaFontaine 16". On back he has signed in 8-9/10 black felt tip pen "To John a close friend ask me to give this to you. Best Regards Pat LaFontaine 16". LaFontaine played his entire career playing in New York for the Rangers Sabers and Islanders from 1983-1988. LaFontaine scored the winning goal in the 4th overtime in game 7 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs which was known as the Easter Epic as the game lasted until 2 AM on Easter Sunday. LaFontaine was traded to the Sabers in 1991 and responded with 148 points (53 goals and 95 Assists) a personal best and a record for an American-born player in one season. Large Sabres logo NHL 75th Anniversary logo and "C" Captain's patch all sewn on front. Pair of "16" under smaller Sabres logos sewn on sleeves. Large 16 and "LAFONTAINE" name plate sewn on back. Maska and size 52 tags sewn in back of collar. CCM and NHL logo patches sewn in back tail. Jersey exhibits moderate to heavy game use.
Includes a letter of provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
