Known as the "Minister of Defense" a reference to both his dominance on the gridiron and Christian faith off the field Reggie White is considered by many to be the most decorated defensive lineman in NFL history. Football fans were blessed pun intended to witness Reggie's greatness for 15 NFL seasons during the 1980's and 90's after playing two professional seasons for the Memphis Showboats of the United States Football League (USFL). Selected in the first round of the 1985 Supplemental Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles Reggie played eight seasons (1985-92) in the City of Brotherly Love before a 6-year stint (1993-98) with the Green Bay Packers and one final season (2000) with the Carolina Panthers. The two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year 13-time Pro Bowl and 8-time 1st team All-Pro selection is second all-time among career sack leaders with 198 (behind Bruce Smith's 200). He won his only Super Bowl ring as a member of the Packers in 1996. A first-ballot Hall of Famer Reggie died tragically at the age of 43 two years before his 2006 induction.

This is Reggie White's game-worn helmet from the 1990 season with the Eagles a spectacular example of game-use from one of the NFL's most respected and beloved players. Reggie recorded 14 sacks that year in another 1st Team All-Pro season striking fear into the hearts of every quarterback and offensive lineman in his path. The Riddell size 7 1/2 helmet has a green shell and the Eagles' wing logos in silver with white trim on each side. The lower back shell sports a size 'L' stamp and 'WHITE' in dymo tape between two warning labels with "Riddell" called out on the rubber neck support. A green "EAGLES" sticker is taped over the red "Riddell" stamped front bumper. The right padded ear flap is missing but the left one is intact and appears to be the original. The gray facemask and white chinstrap display little use and could be replacements. White wore various full cage style masks during his career but in 1990 he only wore this style with three vertical bars over his grill. The interior contains the helmet's original AF-2 padding a design used for larger than normal crowns. The helmet comes largely as-issued and exhibits consistent game use with contact marks throughout the exterior of the shell. Overall an incredible game-worn piece from one of the NFL's all-time greats.
