Larry Robinson was a standout NHL defenseman who competed in the league for 21 seasons. In fact for several years he held the NHL records for most playoff games with 227 and still holds the record for most consecutive years in the playoffs with 20. This lot features Robinson's 1990-91 Los Angeles Kings game-worn home jersey. For starters the proper Maska Air-Knit manufacturer's tag is sewn into the inside rear collar of the 100% polyester white CCM jersey. Across the front is the "Los Angeles Kings" oversized team logo with the Alternate Captain's "A" letter in silver tackle twill outlined in black on the left breast area. Puckering is evident on both the logo and the A. His last name ROBINSON appears on the back of the jersey across the shoulders in gray tackle twill outlined in black sewn directly onto a white nameplate. Robinsons jersey number 19 appears on both sleeves in gray tackle twill outlined in white and in gray tackle twill outlined in black on the back of the jersey. The jersey shows game use and there is a noticeable amount of fraying of the letters and numbers evident. There is also evidence of wear with several rips and holes on the first layer of the double-stitched elbows. This jersey was likely worn in the 1991 Stanley Cup Playoffs according to a respected hockey authenticator because the Kings wore CCM Ultrafil jerseys during the regular season and switched to CCM Air Knit for the postseason.
