Here are coaches jerseys from two beloved figures in Orioles history; longtime coach Cal Ripken Sr. and catcher Elrod Hendricks. Cal Sr. spent 36 years in the Baltimore Orioles organization, also as a player and scout. He played in the Orioles' farm system beginning in 1957, and later served briefly as manager of the parent club, on which his sons Cal Jr. and Billy played. As a manager in the minor leagues for 13 years, Ripken won 964 games, and later compiled a 68-101 record managing the Orioles. Several of his charges, including Jim Palmer, Eddie Murray and most prominently his son Cal Jr., went on to Hall of Fame careers. Cal's 1989 white button-down garment features "Orioles" across the chest in orange-on-black tackle twill and Ripken's No. 7 on the front left and back in like fashion. The right sleeve has the Rawlings "R" embroidered logo patch; the Rawlings Size 40 manufacturer's tag appears on the inside left of the front tail, with "Set 1 1989" flag tag attached. The plated NOB appears in orange-on-black tackle twill. Elrod Hendricks was a major contributor to World Champion Orioles teams in 1970 and 1983 and spent more than half of his playing career with the Orioles in three separate stints, then after retirement held the position as bullpen coach for 28 years, the longest coaching tenure in Orioles history. The 1982 road grey button-down garment has "Orioles" across the chest in orange-on-black tackle twill and Hendricks' No. 44 on the front left and back in like fashion. The sleeve openings bear black-white-orange stripe elastic accents while the collar features black-orange stripe accents. A Rawlings main label size 42 appears inside the left front tail with a white flap tag reading "Set 1 1982." The NOB appears in orange-on-black tackle twill on a grey nameplate on the back.
