The Great One began the second phase of his Hall of Fame career when he joined the LA Kings in 1988. Gretzky started off one the right skate when he scored a goal on his first shot of the season. His dominance continued all season as he led the Kings to a playoff spot and took home the Hart Trophy as MVP for himself. This evocative action shot shows the Kings’ new star about to be passed the puck. The photograph has all four borders. The reverse has a Betsy Peabody Rowe credit stamp along with several date stamps and pencil notations. Encapsulated Type 1 by PSA/DNA.
