Presented here is a bronze medal from the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympics awarded to Soviet high jumper Rudolf Povarnitsyin, accompanied by its original presentation box. The obverse displays the classical Nike figure raising an olive branch beside the inscription "XXIV Olympiad Seoul 1988," with an architectural relief along the lower register.

 

The reverse features the embossed Seoul Games logo — a stylized Taeguk — above the five Olympic rings, set against a dove motif rendered in relief. The medal retains its original multi-striped ribbon in blue, red, yellow, and white. Housed in its original purple velvet display case, the lid bearing gold-stamped text reading "Games of the XXIVth Olympiad Seoul 1988." A singular piece of Olympic athletic history.
