Featured here is a custom-made Andy Moog Boston Bruins 1988-90 game-worn goalie mask. Moog wore this mask during the course of three of his five seasons in Boston including 1989-90 when he was awarded the William M. Jennings Trophy for fewest goals allowed. Moog has signed the front right side of the yellow black and white Bruins-themed exterior paint job in 9/10 black Sharpie with "88-90" on the left front side. The Bruins logo is painted over the chin between these two inscriptions and also on each top side. The PROMASK company custom-designed label is stuck inside the back left. All elements including the yellow-painted cage rear plate interior fiber padding and cloth straps and original chinstrap are completely intact. The mask shows solid game use with the most noticeable blemish two 1" stick/puck gashes to the right side near the earholes. It also comes with Moog's ITECH neck pad stained with sweat and what appears to be blood. A true warrior he was at the net. Overall the exterior paint job remains in fine shape. An incredible offering for Bruins and hockey collectors alike!
Comes with a Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
