By his fourth season in the NBA, Michael Jordan had become the game’s biggest star. In the 1988-89 season, Jordan led the league in scoring for the xx time and posted an incredible ten triple-doubles in an eleven-game span. As basketball’s preeminent superstar, Jordan and his Chicago Bulls team were the subject of an award-winning documentary, “Jordan & Company.” Produced by Jeannie Morris and broadcast on Chicago’s WBBM-TV, the piece drew many accolades, including this Emmy Award. A golden broadcast goddess holding a globe high above her head tops a layered base engraved with “National Academy of Television Arts & Science Outstanding Achievement for Sports Specials “Jordan & Company” Jeannie Morris and Michael Jordan Producers WBBM-TV 1988-89.” Certainly one of the more unique awards Michael Jordan’s Hall of Fame career ever produced.
