In a league hardly bereft of colorful characters Dennis Rodman still managed to stand out with his unique flair for parlaying eccentric behavior with on-the-court magic and hustle resulting in an NBA career emblazoned with equal parts grand play exotic mannerisms and an ability to capture headlines that would sustain him throughout his playing career and into retirement such as it has been. Rodman played at small forward in his early years before becoming a power forward. He earned NBA All-Defensive First Team honors seven times and won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award twice. He also led the NBA in rebounds per game for a record seven consecutive years and was part of five historic NBA Championship squads.
This jersey from his 1987-88 campaign with the Pistons is the classic blue mesh with white and red screened Pistons across the front and his famed No. 10 front and back in the same fashion. Rodman is screened in white block letters across the back affixed directly to the shirt. The jersey has white and red elastic rib panels and on the collar and shoulders. Sand-Knit dual tagging appears on the front left tail (Size 42) with adjacent team embroidered 87 tag. The iconic NBA logo patch is affixed to the left shoulder front. Shirt shows light-to-moderate game use and comes all-original and problem-free.
