During his 18-year major league career right-hander Orel Hershiser was named to three National League All-Star teams (1987 to 89). As a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers from 1983 to 94 Hershiser had his best stuff during those three All-Star years which is when he not only led the Blue Crew to the 1988 World Series title but also pitched his still-standing MLB record of 59 consecutive scoreless innings.

This lot features three National League All-Star team-signed baseballs from those three Mid-Summer Classics. The first baseball is from 87 when the Oakland As played host and boasts 28 signatures on it including that of N.L. All-Star Team Manager Davey Johnson on the sweet spot. Other top signatures on the official 1987 All-Star Game (Ueberroth) baseball include Hall of Famers Ozzie Smith Gary Carter Tony Gwynn Lee Smith and Ryne Sandberg. The second All-Star Game baseball from the 88 battle in Cincinnati includes another 28 signatures on it with none on the sweet spot. Top autographs include Ozzie Smith Will Clarke Orel Hershiser Doc Gooden and Vice Coleman. The third ball from this National League All-Star trifecta from the 89 clash in Anaheim includes 24 signatures in blue ink with N.L. All-Star Manager Tom Lasorda on the sweet spot. Other notable signatures on the baseball include Ozzie Smith Will Clarke just-inducted HOF member John Smoltz Bobby Bonilla and Howard Johnson. A great collection of team-signed baseballs invoking memories of a great decade of Major League Baseball.
