The incomparable Bo Jackson the 1985 Heisman Trophy winner broke into the big leagues in 1986 by playing center field for the Kansas City Royals. The then-23-year-old two-sport star played in just 25 games that season and collected 17 hits including a pair of home runs. This lot features Jacksons game-worn Kansas City Royals home jersey from his rookie campaign. The white jersey shows some game usage. On the bottom of the jersey's left front tail is the "Wilson" manufacturers label with the size "44" tag sewn on. Positioned beneath the manufacturers label is a sewn-on chain-stitched "86" in Royal blue to indicate the season. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Royals" in script style lettering. Across the back of the jersey also in Royal blue is the player name "Jackson" and number "16." All letters and numbers are made of blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the Royals' team logo patch. All stitching and buttons are original and consistent with other Royals jerseys from that era. The jersey has been photo matched to Jacksons 1986 Donruss rookie baseball card (#38).

Magnification of the image shows details of the lettering and numerals on the front of the jersey Jackson is wearing that identically match the offered jersey.
