During his 19-season Hall of Fame National Hockey League career, Luc Robitaille won the Stanley Cup in 2001–02 with the Detroit Red Wings, and played for the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Rangers, but is most known for his 14 seasons, over three different stints, with the Los Angeles Kings. Robitaille retired after the 2005–06 season as the highest-scoring left winger in NHL history and the holder of several Kings franchise records, along with numerous Kings playoff records. This game-worn helmet, stick and knee braced were used on March 22, 2004, the date when he became the the league's all-time highest-scoring left wing. The purple CCM helmet shows game use and is intact in all respects, including straps, snaps and interior padding. The CCM white decale appears on each side of the helmet. Likewise the KOHO sticks shows good game use, with puck marks visible on the taped area of the blade. The BodyGlove knee brace is intact and largely problem free, with the metal plates included and just a minor tear of about one inch surrounding the pocket for one of the plates. The Hall of Famer has signed in blue marker on the shaft of the stick and in silver marker on the brace, adding his No. 20 inscription and the date "3-22-04" that he set the mark.
Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Los Angeles Kings and a Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum Collection.
