ADDENDUM: THIS BAT HAS BEEN GRADED. MINOR UPDATE TO THE YEAR AND GAME USE DESCRIPTION.

The 1980s saw a number of incredible hitters and arguably one of the best was George Brett of the Kansas City Royals. His intense fiery personality certainly translated on the field. Featured here is one Brett's game-used bats from the 1985 season. The Louisville Slugger F124 model has Brett's customary slab of pine tar and shows tremendous use with slight checking (grain swelling) from repeated ball contact marks on the back barrel and a handle crack that has not splintered. The ball marks include blue ink transfers. Blue shoe polish cleat marks and some bat rack streaks are visible on the back barrel and the upper handle is heavily coated with pine tar. The natural ash bat is 34.5 inches long and weights 31.9 ounces. "GB 5" is marked in black at the end of the knob and Brett has added a nice 8/10 blue signature to the front of the barrel.

Full LOA from PSA/DNA (Malta/Taube) for the bat with a GAME USED 9 grade. Autograph pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
