A mainstay NBA center for 15 seasons 7’ 1” Bill Cartwright played his first eight campaigns for the New York Knicks before winning three titles as a member of the Chicago Bulls from 1991 to ’93. Averaging 13.2 points and 6.2 boards per outing Cartwright retired following the 1994-95 NBA season with 676 starts to his credit. This lot features Cartwright’s 1985-86 New York Knicks game worn road jersey a season in which saw limited on-court action due to a foot injury and averaged six points and five rebounds per game.

The nylon blue mesh jersey includes proper manufacturer’s tagging on the front left tail including a [size] 46 Medalist Sand-Knit tag as well as a separate sewn-on tag reading: “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the New York Knicks.” Since it is a Knicks’ jersey from New York an additional “Gerry Cosby – The Professional’s Choice” tag exists on the rear inside collar calling out “3 Pennsylvania Plaza Madison Square Garden New York NY 10001.” The jersey which shows slight wear sports “NEW YORK” across the chest in orange tackle twill outlined in white positioned above Cartwright’s uniform number “25” in like tackle twill fashion. The back of the jersey includes “CARTWRIGHT” in arched semi-circular fashion across the shoulders via white tackle twill lettering sewn directly onto the jersey with his uniform number “25” repeating itself just below in orange tackle twill outlined in white. Some minor fraying is evident on the numbers and lettering. The Knicks' trademark orange and white elastic knit adorns the collar and arm openings.

Includes LOA the family of former NBA agent Bob Woolf.
