Offered here is a signed Reds gray road jersey worn by the all-time hits leader Pete Rose towards the end of his fabled career in the National League. This gray pullover garment bears "Cincinnati" in block capital letters across the chest in red tackle twill and Rose's No. 14 (front and back) applied to the back in like fashion. A "Wilson" Size "44" manufacturer's tag is situated within the collar; a small gray tag reads "84 2" and is chain stitched in red cursive characters. Rose's vivid signature and inscription "#4256" below appears in black Sharpie on the back of the shirt alongside his uniform number. The item reveals evidence of good game use and shows no signs of repair or alteration.
Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
