The City of Los Angeles hosted the Summer Olympics in 1984 marking the first time in 52 years that the Olympic Games were held in the City of Angels. World-renowned sports artist LeRoy Neiman was commissioned to paint an "Opening Ceremonies" piece celebrating the '84 Games. This lot features a limited edition (18 total) serigraph print proof of Neiman's original work of art. Autographed in pencil by the famous artist on the bottom right and marked "PP" on the bottom left the colorful serigraph measures 47" wide by 33" high and has been beautifully framed and matted behind Plexiglas. Its overall measurements are 55" wide by 41" high. This piece was originally appraised for $2450 in 1987.
