From the "Kareem Showtime Photo Collection" (Lot 18) comes this amazing trio of shots by Lakers team photographer Malek Mansour of his friend, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, in action against the Boston Celtics during the 1984 NBA Finals. Finger-rolling between Bird and Parish, pinning a Parish shot attempt against the backboard, and letting fly one of his patented sky hooks over McHale, these original Type 1 photos were taken at the Fabulous Forum in either Games 3, 4 or 6. Fresh to the hobby, they were part of an album collection gifted to Kareem’s ex-girlfriend Brenda Venus four decades ago.
