Inked to a (then) record $300000 contract by sports magnate Jack Kent Cooke in 1975 Hall of Fame center Marcel Dionne was quick to justify his lucrative contract highlighting the "Triple Crown Line" as he was flanked by teammates Charlie Simmer and Dave Taylor. Here offered is a Los Angeles Kings home jersey worn by "Little Beaver" as he enjoyed a 46-goal season in 1984-85. This jersey is a heavy knit CCM in purple with white and yellow trimming. The back plate holds "Dionne" above the two-tone tackle twill number "16" and Dionne's alternate captain's letter "A" is sewn onto the chest. A secondary heavy-duty fight strap is sewn inside and the shirt in place of an original strap that was cut. The jersey is tagged in the collar by Maska Ultrafil with a flap tag behind it reading 84 10.. Back tail hosts Adidas and CCM embroidered tagging. Excellent game wear is evident throughout with extensive interior piling a plethora of stick marks and abrasions from contact. Marcel has added a bold black Sharpie signature across the upper back shoulder.
Accompanied by a copy of a Dionne signed LOA to longtime friend John Hamilton founder of the Newport Sports Museum. Letter of provenance from the Newport Sports Museum as well. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
