1983 New Jersey Generals USFL jersey and pants game-worn and signed by Herschel Walker who rushed for 2411 yards in 1985 the most ever by a football professional. Walker has signed the back of the jersey in 8-9/10 black felt tip pen "Herschel Walker 34". After winning the 1982 Heisman Trophy Walker decided to sign with the New Jersey Generals of the USFL in 1983 due to the USFL rules that allowed players to sign only after their junior year of college. Walker started a Heisman trend as both '83 winner Mike Rozier and '84 winner Doug Flutie snubbed the NFL for its competitor league. After playing 3 seasons in the USFL (which went bankrupt in 1986) Walker was drafter by the Dallas Cowboys where he joined Tony Dorsett in the backfield as the first Heisman tandem in NFL history. Walker went on to play 12 seasons in the NFL. Large "34" applied to front and back with smaller numbers on sleeves. "Walker" in white applied to nameplate sewn on back. Champion XL and 4" extra length tags sewn in front tail. Jersey shows good game use with team repairs. Matching pants have Wilson size 36 tag sewn in front with "34" in black marker written to both sides. Pants also have good game use with a team repair.

Includes a letter of authenticity from the Equipment Manager and a letter of provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
