This outstanding Type 1 photo captures the exciting moment the Philadelphia Phillies won the first World Series in the history of the franchise. The photo, taken by noted photographer Paul J. Bereswill, shows Mike Schmidt leaping into the arms of his teammates seconds after recording the final out of the Series. Schmidt had led the NL in home runs, RBI, and slugging before hitting .381 against Kansas City in the World Series. The Type 1 photo has been printed with wide white borders. There is some edge wear present, most noticeably along the right edge of the white border, where a small piece is missing. The back of the photo has the Paul J. Bereswill Periphery Studios stamp along with “1980 World Series” written in pencil and other printing notations. The photo has been encapsulated by PSA and graded a Type 1 Authentic.

Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method.
