Beautiful 14K Gold 1978 New York Yankees World Series Championship ring given to an ownership associate. Ring is exactly the same one as the players received. In 1978 the Yankees defeated the rival Dodgers for the second consecutive World Series in a row by the same 4 games to 2 margin. Balfour 14K World Championship Ring features a large real diamond inside a baseball diamond shape with 4 tiny diamonds as bases at center atop a dark blue stone surrounded by 21 smaller diamonds and proclamation "WORLD CHAMPIONS". The "Yankees" team name raised facade of Yankee Stadium and a raised image of the World Series Trophy rendering with "New York Yankees World Champions" appears on one side. "CLEMENKO" "1978" "PRIDE" "TRADITION" and a large "NY" appear on the other. The inside band is stamped with "GREATEST COME BACK IN HISTORY" and "LGB 14K". The Yankees overcame a 14 game mid-July deficit to claim the American League East title. Comes with the original Balfour presentation box. Ring appears to have never been worn. Ring size 9 1/4.
