Walt “Clyde” Frazier made his name as a member of two New York Knicks’ NBA championship teams (1970 and ’73). Teaming in the backcourt with “Earl the Pearl” Monroe in ’73 Frazier was a flashy player on the court and a flashy dresser off the court. Frazier wearing uniform number “10” in New York played his first 10 seasons with the Knicks before being dealt to the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 1977-78 campaign one in which he averaged 16.2 points and 4.1 assists per outing. Wearing number “11” for the Cavs Frazier played his final three seasons for Cleveland.This lot includes Frazier’s Cleveland Cavaliers’ game-worn warm-up jacket (size 44). The wine white and gold polyester jacket shows wear and has “CAVALIERS” sewn in gold on white tackle twill on the back with number “11” in like tackle twill fashion on the right chest area opposite the Cavaliers circular logo on the left chest. All six wine-colored snaps are intact down the front of the jacket with the “Medalist Sand Knit” manufacturer’s tagging located on the inside between the fifth and sixth snaps. A second sewn-on tag reading “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the CLEVELAND CAVALIERS” is positioned next to the size 44 tag (complete with washing instructions). Noticeable fraying of the numbers and lettering is evident. The jacket has been photo-matched.
