Here is a handsome powder-blue Montreal Expos road jersey game worn by the club's promising young righthander Carl Morton who had rung up an 18-11 mark two years earlier in winning the National League Rookie of the Year Award. The jersey has a Wilson Size 44 tag in superb condition at the collar; black embroidered "72 Set 1" appears at the bottom of the front left tail. Morton's No. 44 in blue fabric is sewn to the front right breast and in larger numerals on the reverse ; the Expos' red white and blue logo appears on the opposite side above "expos" in blue fabric also sewn directly to the shirt. The shirt has the red white and blue piping on each sleeve and the six ventilation holes beneath each armpit. The jersey shows game use and is in simply spectacular overall condition with minimal fraying of any of the stitching around letters or numerals.
