1971 San Diego Chargers Team Playbook belonging to coach Charlie Waller. Waller was the offensive backfield coach for the Chargers taking over as head coach on November 14 1969 after Sid Gillman's resignation due to poor health. Under his leadership the Chargers finished the season 4-1. In 1970 he led the Chargers to a 5-6-3 record. When Gilman returned he 1971 he became the offensive coordinator. Playbook is loaded with hundreds of plays covering every type of possible situation that might occur during a game. Makes one appreciate the incredible amount of information players must process in preparing to play the game.
