1970's Los Angeles Rams jersey game worn by defensive stand out linebacker Jack "Hacksaw" Reynolds. Reynolds played 15 seasons in the NFL 11 with the Rams and 4 with the 49ers where he won two Super Bowls. Hacksaw earned the nickname for allegedly cutting a car in half using 13 hacksaw blades after his previously unbeaten college team suffered a 38-0 road loss. Gold "64" applied to front back and both sleeves. "REYNOLDS" applied in white to nameplate sewn on back. Wm Fredericks Company Sand-Knit size 50 and "Designed and Tailored Exclusively for the Los Angeles Rams" tags sewn in front tail. Jersey displays very heavy game use and is loaded with team repairs.
Includes a letter of provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
