This 1970 Topps #90 O.J. Simpson rookie card has been graded PSA NM-MT 8. The 1970 Topps football set's distinctive oval-framed photography and tall-boy card dimensions make border wear and corner softness especially visible, and the issue is well known among collectors for being difficult to find in high grade due to its wide white borders. A PSA NM-MT 8 grade reflects a card with strong original gloss, sharp corners showing only the faintest wear, and clean, well-centered surfaces free of creasing or significant print defects. As Simpson's true rookie card, issued following his record-setting Heisman Trophy season at USC and his selection as the first overall pick in the 1969 draft, this remains one of the most significant and actively collected football rookie cards of the era, and an NM-MT 8 grade places it firmly among the better-preserved surviving examples.
