NBA Hall of Famer John Havlicek wore this unique red white and blue jersey and shorts combination on a 1976 NBA and State Department sponsored tour that featured NBA stars coached by the most famous basketball coach in the world Red Auerbach. The Size 44 jersey has Wilson tagging on the front. The Size 36 shorts have Wilson tagging on the waistband along with an embroidered "17" on an adjacent tag. Both pieces show good game use. The jersey has a bit of fraying on the stitching of the the lettering front and back with red-and-white piping on the sleeves essentially intact and problem free. Havlicek has added his distinctive black Sharpie autograph on the "7" on the jersey's back. This is a unique artifact from the legendary career of one of the true giants of the game as the league began its earliest attempts to spread the global reach of the NBA to other nations.
