What we have here is one of Hank’s Hammers – a Hillerich & Bradsby bat made to Hank Aaron’s exacting specs as he closed in on The Babe’s home run record. Bat experts at PSA/DNA have authenticated this bat as matching Aaron’s bat ordering records from the 1970-72 period and have designated it a “Pro Model/Pro Stock” bat. The Hillerich & Bradsby R43 model bat is uncracked and displays outstanding use. The barrel is covered with ball marks and scuffs along with abrasions from contact with the ground and other equipment. The knob has some dings and notches and Aaron’s number “44” has been hand written in black marker. Hammerin’ Hank has completed this pro model bat with a solid signature on the barrel in bold black marker. The bat comes with a game used LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA, as well as a Steiner COA and Beckett LOA for Hank's signature.
