Offered is a home jersey which was donned by skipper Joe Schultz during the Seattle Pilots' lone season as a Major League franchise in 1969. Given the brevity of the Pilots' major league tenure the historic nature of this jersey from the club's manager is magnified even beyond the typical ardor for Pilots artifacts making this as one of the most coveted collectibles of the genre. The shirt has Wilson size 44 tag sewn to outside tail with the year "1969" stitched below while the collar features a felt swatch reading "Schultz." Team name and number are sewn to jersey in blue on yellow double tackle twill while the jersey also features the team's "Winged Baseball" logo patch on the left chest all of which have been professionally restored. Game wear evident with a small area of staining on the reverse and a small hole/tear in the yellow and blue trim sewn on the left sleeve. This is truly a museum-worthy piece from a colorful figure from post-war MLB history and a beloved franchise that lasted but a year in Seattle.
