Powerful 1969 double-weight photograph of basketball legend Bill Russell as he lay on the Boston Garden parquet court in exasperation after getting injured at the end of a Feb. 2, 1969, home game against the New York Knicks. The player/coach took a hard fall with just seconds remaining in the contest, spraining his knee and forcing him to miss a week of action. The work of famous Sports Illustrated photographer Dick Raphael, the large-format original photo bears his stamp on the back. Great size for a framed display.
