Lou Brock helped to revolutionize the art and science of base-running as he totaled 938 stolen bases during his 19-year career. A six-time All-Star selection Brock also accumulated more than 3000 hits to help lead the St. Louis Cardinals to three National League pennants and two World Series championships. Dating from the 1965-68 period this H&B model K75 Lou Brock professional model bat is among the most exceptional player examples weve seen with regard to usage traits and provenance.

The 35 inch 36.1 ounce Hillerich & Bradbsy model P89 Lou Brock professional model bat is un-cracked and shows evidence of tremendous use. Many ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the right left and back barrel. Cleat marks are visible on the left and back barrel. Also visible on the bat are red and green bat rack streaks. The mid handle has been taped and padded and there is a moderate coat of pine tar on the handle. Brock's number (20) is written on the knob and top barrel in black marker.

Provenance: This Lou Brock professional model bat was originally sourced from John Kendall. Mr. Kendall was a truck driver who transported equipment from Busch Stadium to the Cardinals Spring Training complex. Prior to the start of the season this bat was presented to Mr. Kendall by then Cardinal manager Red Schoendienst when the Cardinals equipment was packed up for delivery to Spring Training.

Includes a LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (GU10)
